Well It's done! She Shed Move in Day!

Finally, finally, finally my workshop aka She Shed is done.  I prefer workshop as this is really what it is.  This is a place for me to work for my Etsy shop as well as sew for household needs.  A She Shed seems to me to be a place for a woman to have down time. It's my hope that this will not be a place to relax in the general sense of the word, but to rather be productive and therefore less stressed about keeping up with the Etsy shop among other things.   Below is the view from my sewing desk.  The windchime is a gift from my sweet daughter.

This picture is from when they were delivering it and setting it up weeks before it was done.  This is just to show what the outside looks like.

Over the past few days I've been moving all of my sewing and doll stuff from the house and into the workshop.  The shop itself is 10x20 and, at first, I would've told you that was way more than I needed.  Um.  Yeah, I was wrong.  I've literally used every square inch of available space to rehome all that I had tucked in nooks and crannies around the house.  My final problem was a place to put the fabric that didn't fit in the armoire.  We'd spent so much on the purchase and renovation of this building; I didn't want to add anything else if I could help it.  The windows all round are a blessing for light to work by, but were a hindrance when it came to finding something to work with for fabric storage.  I need a lot of additional fabric storage apparently. 😬

In the video you see a laundry basket currently holding some of the fabric needing storage, but that isn't all of it.  Still working on finding a place for that and I'll have everything moved.  I'm happy to say I worked for a couple of hours in the workshop yesterday and added a few pieces to my Etsy inventory.  Re organizing the house now that we have space to put everything is going to be a process, but one I welcome.
